Seniors Helping Seniors provides non-medical, in-home services. Our mission is to provide seniors the opportunity to choose an independent life-style in their own homes for as long as possible with dignity and respect. We match seniors (50 or older) who want help with seniors who need help.

ROSCOMMON COUNTY LITERACY COUNCIL
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping to promote literacy in Roscommon County. Our major functions include tutoring adults and children mentoring children in the elementary schools, our Books for Babes program (new books and parenting materials are given to all new mothers at Grayling Mercy Hospital) and serving as an affiliate for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (all children ages 0 to 5 may sign up to receive one book per month, 60 books in all.

ROSCO HIGGINS TRAIL CRUISERS
Snowmobile club that is responsible for maintaining part of trails 6, 7 &67. The 'Cruisers' meet the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Ausable River Center, Roscommon.

We are a lodge with 16 bedrooms. We also have 6 four-bedroom, 2 full bath cabins and 1 two-bedroom, 1 bath cabin. We are located on beautiful Higgins Lake at the north end.

We are open year round, our cabins are fully furnished...all you have to bring is good, clothes and personal items. -

KIRTLAND WARBLER FESTIVAL
The Kirtland's Warbler Festival is held annually in Roscommon on the first Saturday in June. The 2016 Festival will be held Saturday, June 4 from 7 a.m to 5 p.m. This family friendly event will provide all day, family fun right in the heart of downtown Roscommon! Join your friends and neighbors in celebrating the unique outdoor experiences and strong conservation heritage of Northeast Michigan. Events include morning Kirtland's Warbler tours, community pancake breakfast, kids tent with conservation activities and games. guided kayak tour of the South Branch Au Sable River, informative presentations and workshops, business poker walk, local crafts and conservation vendors and much more.

The Post hosts a Country Breakfast the second Sunday of each month from 8:00 a.m. til noon. The menu includes homemade biscuits and gravy, eggs to order, French toast, pancakes, sausage, hash browned potatoes, coffee or tea and juice. Breakfast is open to the public. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. -
